How to Create a Whimsical Midsummer Table

Long Summer evenings call for gatherings around the table with your favourite people! 

For this midsummer-inspired table I wanted to create a setting especially for cocktails with the girls in mind - a whimsical gathering in the glasshouse layered with delicate lace, ruffled linens, garden flowers, candlelight and of course some delicious cocktails.

Amber + Willow favourites are mixed with vintage finds to create a table that makes you want to stay there long into the night. 

I whipped up Rose + Elderflower Spritz cocktails using our rose and elderflower artisan syrups from France and served them in our Gatsby-style crystal glasses. Napkins were tied with clematis stems and I wrapped the glassware with floral stems. I tied ribbons (that I use to decorate wreaths and garlands at Christmas) to chairs and around our sell out stone bust for a touch of whimsy and drama! Adding something unexpected can add a sense of playfulness to your setting.

Our new painted metal bird candle holders and blush glass t light holders add height and give that garden-like feel. Our bright verdigris candles give it a whimsical pop of colour.
