Spread The Love This Valentines

Discover our love-themed edit to lift the spirits. A romantic candlelit dinner for two, a Galentines get-together, a family brunch or a thoughtful gift - make it special and celebrate with the ones you love! Here's our mood board for our Galentines get-together - think drippy candles, moody lighting, rose-hued cocktails and yummy treats.

A Table of Love

For our Galentines table, we've gone for The Messy Table Aesthetic - all about the mood, less about perfection. Vintage finds and contemporary pieces sit happily together to create a candlelit dessert table with some friends. The backdrop is our scene-stealing red and peach cotton tablecloth which we've styled with our cherry stripe ruffled napkins  new 'Amore Mio' striped napkins and plain white napkins. I found the dinky little lamp at a vintage market in Cannes last Summer which I've repurposed as a t-light holder. I love the old-world romance vibe it brings. Vintage silver candlesticks I've collected over the years as a wedding stylist mixed in with some of our Italian ceramic splatter candle holders

Our crystal cocktail glasses make fantastic dessert coupes for our meringue nests and to hold fresh cherries! Add a hint of rose to your glass of bubbly with our artisan rose syrup and add heart-shaped strawberry garnishes.  Our red bow place cards from Pink Moon Designs are the perfect finishing touch.

How to make a rose bud napkin fold

Have fun styling your napkins - and they don't all have to match! Add a velvet napkin bow; fold and pop a heart-shaped chocolate on top or if you're feeling crafty why not try your hand at a rose bud napkin fold! Follow the steps below.

If it's a family brunch you're planning,  replace the cocktails with juice or smoothies and serve up some heart-shaped pancakes with berries! I love Maria Harte's recipe for these yummy fluffy pancakes and then just added the kid's favourite fruits and some maple syrup. If I'm going all-out I'll add a teeny bit of red food colouring and vanilla extract to whipped cream and add a dollop on top! And yes - I know it's totally over the top but that's why I love it!

Embrace The Art of Wintering

I love the notion of "Wintering" - like Donna Ashworth describes it in her beautiful words. It's natural for us all to want to retreat in January and hibernate like everything around us in Nature. ...
